Save Our Selves – The Campaign for a Climate in Crisis will feature a series of Rock concerts in select cities around the world and the United States. The concert is a 24hr event starting on July 7 for the purpose of drawing attention to climate change. The concert reportedly will be named “Live Earth”. Proceeds will go to the Alliance for Climate Protection
Former Vice President Al Gore is the chair of the Alliance for Climate Protection and is a co-founder and Chairman of Current TV. Mr. Gore is also on the Board of Directors at Apple Computer and a Senior Advisor to Google, Inc. Mr. Gore has an Oscar Nominated documentary about climate change entitled An Inconvenient Truth. I have seen this movie and feel that it was probably the most important film produced in thus far in this century.
