Photos Along Highway 1, California
The Mendocino county coast line is rugged with rock formations just off shore. This photo was taken in July of 2004. The temperature on the coast was in the 80's while a few miles inland the sun blazed and temps soared into the low 100's. The recreational parks of northern California provide some much needed relief from the summer heat. This climate is very good for the Mendocino wine growing region. Traveling along the Pacific coast highway is an enjoyable trip with much scenery and many chances to take photos The beach is located a few miles north of Fort Bragg, California.
