I visited Los Algodones in 2006. It was a day trip as part of a larger vacation to Yuma Az. A lot of local people from the Yuma area cross over for medical care at rates far below the prices found in the United States. Los Algodones, Baja California has more square feet of dental offices than any other place in Mexico - probably the world. Dental costs are 70 to 75% less than costs in the United States.
