Focus
JwrBlog 2.0.1 started in February 2004. The name is a combination of my initials and the word "blog". The focus of the publication is to examine trends in technology, finance, travel, and web design. The site is the work of one author, Jeffery W. Rine, aka Jwr.
Affiliates
Advertisements found on the site will lead to merchant sites and in some instances 3rd party sites. A Google ad would be representative of a 3rd party site. I strive to forge affiliate relationships with top quality merchants. I produce no products for sale nor do I fulfill any orders. My role as an affiliate is to direct web site traffic to a merchant site in the form of a clickable link. In some instances the click through generated to the merchant site may generate a commission for me, in other instances I may get a commission based on a lead generated or a sale made at the merchant's web site. Any compensation to JwrBlog 2.0.1 is determined by the individual affiliate agreement.
Trust
Linking to high quality affiliates enhances the visitor experience for JwrBlog 2.0.1 visitors. High quality merchants do not try to load up your machine with spy ware and other parasitic programs. High quality affiliates run reputable businesses and strive to develop customer relationships. They do not sell your information to third parties.
Price vs Cost
I like a good deal as much as anyone. Who doesn't like a bargain? However, I believe that the cost of poor quality is never justified for the sake of obtaining a lower price. I firmly believe in the phrase "you get what you pay for". Quality merchants provide high value for the price they charge. I strive to work with merchants that provide the highest quality at the best possible price. The cost of poor service and the risk of damaging a customer relationship is just too high to do otherwise.
